Eaton’s Global Energy Infrastructure Solutions (GEIS) division is currently seeking a Production Supervisor - 1st Shift. This role is based at the Syracuse, NY manufacturing site.

　　The expected annual salary range for this role is $77249.97 - $113299.96 a year.

　　What you’ll do:

　　Position Overview:

　　As a Production Supervisor, you will provide leadership and direction for a work group within the plant. You will track performance with respect to safety & the environment, quality, on-time delivery, cost for their respective area. In addition, you are the first line contact between production employees and the management staff.

　　In this role you will:

　　Conduct Daily Team stand-up meeting with all department personnel in area of responsibility

　　Represent the company when interacting with production employees on the shop floor

　　Help drive and implement safety policies and programs, meet operating budgets, complete continuous improvement plans, and coach employees on behavior/performance

　　Monitor control plans, troubleshoot workmanship problems and supervise production activities to ensure manufactured products meet or exceed established quality requirements

　　Create the basis for continuous improvement and employee empowerment by ensuring that standardize work processes are followed and countermeasures are implemented where necessary

　　Ensure that assigned personnel have appropriate training, work instruction and tools to successfully perform job

　　Utilize lean six sigma methodologies to reduce operational costs, inventory and lead-times as well as ensure alignment with long-term manufacturing strategies

　　Develop and establish manufacturing priorities based on the production schedule and monitor employee work requirements in order to meet customer deadlines

　　Qualifications:

　　Required (Basic) Qualifications:

　　Associate’s Degree from an accredited institution

　　Minimum two (2) years of manufacturing, production or operations experience

　　Minimum one (1) year of leadership experience

　　No relocation is offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of (Syracuse, NY) to be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

　　Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future

　　Preferred Qualifications:

　　Bachelor’s Degree in Operations, Engineering, or related field of study from an accredited institution

　　Machining experience (CNC, manual machining, etc.)

　　Three (3) years of related experience including increasing responsibility and leadership of projects and teams of considerable size, scope and complexity in a manufacturing environment

　　SAP business system experience

　　Microsoft Office platform experience

　　Union environment experience

　　Continuous Improvement project experience
