  Job Description

  Roles & Responsibilities:

  The Production Manager, as a pivotal "manager of managers" within Safran Aerosystems, holds a critical role in the organization, overseeing various aspects of the production process. The comprehensive responsibilities encompass:

  Customer Satisfaction:

  • Ensure customer needs are met in terms of safety, quality, cost, and delivery requirements

  • Drive required transformations and manage change to enhance operational efficiency

  Team Leadership and Vision:

  • Impart a compelling vision and foster a team-oriented culture around the entity's goals

  • Organise teams to encourage multidisciplinary, autonomy, and cross-functional communication for agility and adaptability

  • Maintain the highest levels of skills and resources within the expanded scope of responsibility

  Data Management:

  • Ensure the accessibility and quality of sector-specific data

  • Guarantee the application of reference systems for consistent and efficient operations.

  Financial Management:

  • Budgeting and profit and loss management to ensure financial objectives are met.

  • Set key objectives to monitor the production line's performance.

  • Review and implement cost-effective methods to improve productivity.

  People Management:

  • Actively participate in staff recruitment, ensuring the acquisition of top talent.

  • Provide recommendations and appraisals for ongoing performance improvement.

  • Demonstrate experience in managing a large production line with diverse teams.

  Operations:• Proficient in performance management, encompassing quality, costs, and delivery

  • Expertise in production management to optimize processes and outputs

  • Adept at risk management to pre-empt and address potential challenges

  Advanced IT Skills• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to foster a collaborative work environment

  • Proven training and coaching experience to develop the team

  • Demonstrated ability in team development and harmonization

  Problem-solving and Technical Knowledge:• Exceptional problem-solving skills to address operational challenges

  • Efficient time management and prioritization abilities

  • Sound technical knowledge to make informed decisions

  Management• Compliance with HSE requirements for a safe and secure working environment

  • Proficient in team leadership with a focus on creating a positive work culture

  • Skilful labour relations management and fostering a culture of skills development

  • Ability to manage a cross-functional, intercultural team effectively

  Improvement/Innovation:• Proven track record in continuous improvement and change management

  Main Duties (1/2): Managerial

  Sector Organisation:• Organize and lead the entity in accordance with HSE and HR processes, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements

  • Adapt and evolve the entity to encourage scalable and flexible ways of working

  • Remove silos to achieve better overall efficiency and collaboration

  Team Skills Development:• Build teams by balancing profiles and skills, ensuring multidisciplinary, intergenerational working, and diversity

  • Define and apply the Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP) approach for effective talent management

  • Ensure effective career management and team compensation for sustained motivation and performance

  Team Leadership:• Translate the company's strategy into specific, easy-to-understand goals for the team.

  • Maintain meaningful communication between teams and management.

  • Leverage team strengths to meet goals and challenges effectively.

  • Ensure team unity and positive employee relations in liaison with relevant support functions.

  • Encourage teamwork in accordance with the principles of the team leadership model.

  Job Requirements

  Main Duties (2/2): Operational

  Implement Industrial Strategy:• Organize the entity in response to the industrial strategy, ensuring workload/capacity alignment.

  • Make informed make-or-buy decisions for optimal resource utilization.

  • Manage budgets and investments effectively.

  • Optimize layouts within the unit for enhanced productivity.

  • Reorganize where necessary and manage change efficiently.

  Manage Performance:• Involve teams in performance management for enhanced employee engagement.

  • Guarantee the entity's quality, delivery, cost, compliance, and maturity commitments.

  • Establish medium-term improvement plans to maintain the unit's performance at the highest standards.

  • Constantly adapt the management system, focusing closely on key performance indicators (KPIs) with respect to results and the business context.

  • Integrate information received in real-time for informed decision-making.

  • Manage the entity's operating budget, overseeing investments, allocations, hourly rates, business trips, etc.

  • Ensure that reference systems are applied to processes for consistency and efficiency.

  • Guarantee that the entity works seamlessly with other company entities and encourage cross-functional communication.

  Improvement/Innovation Duties:

  Job/Product Strategy:• Lead the entity's job/product strategy for sustained growth and profitability.

  • Maintain the entity's competitive edge through continuous improvement, building on good practices, and adhering to standards (One Safran).

  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve transformation for ongoing success.

  • Maintain active technology/sector intelligence for informed decision-making.

  • Inspire and encourage the team to think innovatively and contribute to continuous improvement.
