　　JOB SUMMARY

　　Responsible for all aspects of NPD within the Zurn Elkay sinks category including product design, development, and management. Provides strategic oversight and management for NPD comprised of a team of Product Managers and Engineers. Manages long-term priorities to meet financial commitments around new product development, and continually builds technical and organizational capabilities that provide competitive advantage. Collaborates with counterparts in business development, marketing, operations, and supply chain to deliver innovative new products rooted in deep customer insights, ensure quality of new product launches, and improve the quality and cost position of existing products. Lead and direct to define the underlying Product Architecture strategy for the business and ensure the most effective and robust product development process. Provides leadership on key strategic and business issues.

　　Leader of sink product category business unit with full engagement with all channels and functions. Overall responsibility in determining strategic product line decisions by evaluating end-user unmet needs, market trends, competitors’ products, and shares, etc.

　　Implements and continuously improves product development and engineering processes that maximize innovation, quality, manufacturability, and best cost.

　　Oversees team that executes product design to meet company objectives. Directs the design of new products and redesign/modification of components for improvement of existing products.

　　Utilizes company knowledge when developing and executing product and pricing strategies.

　　Leads product team through analysis of product readiness for market by application of expertise in threshold acceptance indices and validation testing.

　　Continually evaluates and improves the tools, and practices used in engineering and product development. Ensure that the organization utilizes new technology to competitive advantage, maximizing capabilities and productivity.

　　Assures completion of product line ideation and development with conformance to schedules.

　　Manages resources to guarantee timely completion and due diligence required for product line launches.

　　Provides leadership on key strategic and business issues.

　　Effectively leads cross-functional teams.

　　QUALIFICATIONS

　　Bachelor of Science in engineering, marketing, business management, or related studies required; MBA preferred.

　　10+ years’ experience, preferably in product management, engineering or marketing.

　　Experience in driving product and pricing strategies.

　　Experience in leading product development initiatives.

　　Prior supervisory and budget experience.

　　An inspirational leader and team-builder able to positively influence others, as well as coach and develop current and future leaders to deliver results, and to support leadership expansion.

　　Able to collaborate in a team-based culture. He/she will need to be open to both providing direction and receiving input on all matters pertaining to Product Development, Product Management, Engineering and R&D including new product development, manufacturing, supplychain, quality, and marketing.

　　Healthy sense of urgency and the ability to infuse this into the organization.

　　Ability to spot and capitalize on trends in the marketplace.

　　Strong problem resolution skills at both the strategic and tactical level.

　　Ability to function on multiple planes, with a strong ability to put pieces together from numerous sources/data points.

　　Sets a clear direction, establishes a business rhythm, and measures results to ensure success.

　　Drives culture of learning, continuous improvement, best-in-class benchmarking, and best practice sharing across the company.

　　Strong business presentation skills. Effective interpersonal and written communication skills in an aggressive business environment.

　　Able to travel up to approximately 15% of time.
