Actalent is currently hiring for a Product Designer to support a manufacturer of automotive parts.

　　Description:

　　Product Designer:

　　Responsible for providing accurate and timely product designs using SolidWorks 3D software.

　　Designing based on customer specifications and/or custom quotes coming in from the field.

　　Responsible for designing new products as well as continuous design improvements of existing equipment.

　　Responsible for designing with cost in mind and also serve as a liaison between fab and assembly by resolving any issues that surface.

　　Skills:

　　SolidWorks, Design, Bachelors, Engineer, Engineering, Product Development, Equipment, 3D

　　Additional Skills & Qualifications:

　　Education-Associates in Drafting or Design required but Bachelors in Mechanical/Ag Engineering preferred.

　　3D-Candidate must have 3D modeling and design experience, even if from school projects or internships/coops. SolidWorks design experience highly preferred but will look at candidates with others too (pro/e, inventor, etc.)

　　Mechanical AptitudeThe more hands on experience the better, specifically within automotive or agricultural vehicles. Any experience working with sheet metal products (repair/design/etc.) is highly preferred.Bonus:

　　2D and 3D skills (AutoCAD/SolidWorks Combo is ideal)

　　Passion and Interest in working on cars, fixing things, engine repair, etc.

　　Strong Communication and presentation skills
