Summary:

Meta is seeking an experienced Communications Manager to join its Communications team in Spain. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in developing and executing high-profile communications campaigns tailored to various audiences, using social-first tactics, managing day-to-day media relations and handling complex issues. The role is hands-on and will lead proactive and reactive communications from strategy to execution for the Meta family of apps in Spain.

Develop and execute communications strategies and initiatives in Spain to protect and enhance Meta’s reputation and support business objectives

Drive impactful coverage across a broad range of media, including broadcast, print and consumer outlets

Develop social campaigns both for owned media channels and with creators

Manage an external PR agency

Liaise with and foster relationships with a wide range of hi-profile reporters, commentators and creators

Handle a wide range of high-profile and complex media enquiries

Organize press briefings, events and activations

Prepare briefing materials and brief executive spokespeople (VP C-level)

Coordinate with Communications colleagues globally, and across the Meta family of apps, as well as cross-functional teams across the company

Minimum Qualifications:

10+ years of public relations experience

Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience

Experience executing media campaigns, crisis management, building relationships with media and working with executives

Strong existing relationships and contacts with Spanish media

Active collaborator, practiced at influencing others, and good at bringing larger groups along to execute complex cross-team projects

Excellent communication and writing skills in Spanish and in English
