Now hiring a Procurement Associate for our Client in Mobile, AL. Great opportunity to gain experience in the supply chain industry with a Fortune 500 Consumer and Packaging Goods Corporation! This would be a 3-4 month contract with possible opportunity for conversion or extension.
We are looking for someone who possesses excellent written and oral communication skills. Knowledge of SAP and Coupa is helpful but not necessary. Willing to train the right person! This is a Hybrid role (Mondays and Fridays are remote)
Contract Duration: 3 - 4 Months
Purpose of the role :
Lower volume of past due purchase orders and aged orders
General Tasks:
-Call suppliers to discuss open POs
-Update POs in SAP and Coupa
-Interact with mill Stores personnel to validate items were delivered or need to be received
-Contact requisitioners to validate POs are still needed or if they can be modified
Required:
Must possess Excellent oral and written communication skills along with high accuracy in high volume processing of data entry, willingness to provide process improvement ideas, and attention to detail.
Basic Excel Experience (Sorts, Filters, etc)
Microsoft Outlook (email)
Customer service skills
Must be comfortable with outbound calling to vendors
Someone with good administrative and customer service skills would be ideal. Must be comfortable with making calls and speaking with vendors.
