Summary:
As the Procurement Buyer, you will support all of the transactional activities relative to Central Procurement, and work efficiently and effectivity with all of our DC’s providing excellent customer service and superior communication.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all DC replenishment buying on CP sourced and supplied items
Generate purchase orders directly out of each DC to maintain their on hand inventory to their safety stock standards
Book and manage all freight for CP replenishment items
Provide full communication to the sales teams by DC as to inventory status
Manage all aspects of CP sourced items in the DC’s, price cycle reviews, burdens, freight variance, quantity limits, daily conference call communication etc.
Assist category managers with the development and implementation of strategic sourcing and procurement processes.
Achieve optimum service cost while ensuring high level of quality/service and the respect of delivery targets.
Work with category managers with the development of price forecasts for key market drivers.
Supply day-to-day management to insure product availability and performance.
Develop in-depth knowledge of key material market suppliers and cost infrastructure.
Assist category managers with negotiations with vendors for the procurement of all materials, supplies, equipment and services.
Assists with the developing new supply sources where vendors are inadequate.
Follow and enforce good safety practices.
Ensure materials purchased will be done on a timely basis and all business transactions are conducted with in a professional manner.
Monitor costs and schedules.
Communicate daily market conditions, incoming products, current inventory, and potential/current outages.
Review inventory, item movement/history, ad projections, and product supply; determine need and recommend or place orders.
Perform other duties, as assigned.
What You Bring to Pacific Seafood:
Required
Minimum of five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field is a benefit.
Salary Range: $68,134 - $84,486 Annually
