Multiple Openings. Farm worker positions in Gideon, MO. Duties Include: Help manage day-to-day farm work activities performed with year-round and seasonal crews of farm workers. Monitor workers to ensure that safety regulations are followed. Assist with scheduling and coordinating work activities of farm worker crews. Inspect crops, fields, and plant stock to determine conditions and need for cultivating, spraying, weeding, and harvesting. Confer with farm managers to evaluate weather and soil conditions, develop year-round farming plans and procedures, and discuss changes in fertilizers, herbicides, and/or cultivating techniques. Operate tractors and other farm equipment to till soil, plant, irrigate, fertilize, and harvest crops. Perform regular, routine repairs, maintenance, and cleaning of farm equipment and machinery. Identify pests and weeds to determine the selection and application of pesticides and fertilizers. Help manage the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops. Perform other similar, related tasks as needed. Requirements: Requires minimum two (2) years prior full-time experience as a farm worker or a similar occupation related to crop farming.
