  Expected annual base salary range: $62,460 to $97,000

  JOB SUMMARY: The Process Manager, Scale Management, is responsible for identifying, enhancing, and automating complex day-to-day licensing and translation project processes that will optimize efficiency. This role will identify, initiate, and implement process improvements that allow for department scalability while maintaining quality.

  ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The accountabilities listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.

  Understand all processes utilized in the context of scales licensing and translation to identify potential areas for automation and enhancement to improve efficiency while maintaining quality.

  Partner with appropriate team members to ensure that suggested improvements will maintain the integrity of scientific documentation necessary for sponsors.

  Initiate and implement process improvements that drive efficiencies to reduce project timelines and enhance quality.

  Work with other internal departments (e.g., eCOA, eLearning,Project Management, Clinical Science, Logistics) to implement and identify areas for process improvement and develop action plans.

  Oversee the portfolio of work in the eCOA implementation and/or linguistic validation areas to meet department goals and strategic objectives.

  Maintain working knowledge of operational processes and changes.

  Serve as resource/subject matter expert for internal teams regarding Scale Management processes, including but not limited to licensing, eCOA implementation, linguistic validation, and/or training translations.

  Participate in sponsor, cross-functional, and audit meetings as required.

  Identify and track KPIs while working with the Director, Scale Management.

  Provide support as needed, including facilitation of training on new systems or processes.

  Effectively communicate project updates to the Director and other departments as required.

  Lead special projects and initiatives as identified by management.

  Other duties as assigned by supervisor. These may, on occasion, be unrelated to the position described here.

  EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSE/REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS: Lean Six Sigma preferred. Project Management professional qualification preferred.

  QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

  At least three (3) years of demonstrated project management experience with strong understanding of the project life cycle, and ability to scope, manage and execute projects on time and within budget.

  Experience with and/or knowledge of process improvement techniques and applying these to make organizational changes.

  Experience in the translation/linguistic validation/eCOA implementation process.

  Demonstrated experience in influencing cross functional teams of various disciplines.

  Demonstrated experience in managing various workstreams across multiple programs or projects.

  Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and work under pressure to meet deadlines.

  Demonstrated ability to facilitate effective communication, cooperation, respect, and teamwork.

  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  Excellent collaborative and interpersonal relationship skills.

  Ability to see the big picture as well as work hands-on. Ability to proactively recognize project challenges and risks and implement effective action plans.

  Excellent organizational and planning skills with the ability to utilize technology and tools to enhance the effectiveness of deliverables and service.

Work activities involve a frequent need to concentrate on a variety of sensory inputs for moderate to lengthy durations at a time requiring diligence and attention to interpret effectively. There will be a need to attend to single or simultaneous tasks where accuracy of details is important. The need for detailed and precise work is high.
