　　APTIM is currently seeking a ­­­­­Mechanical Engineering Intern to work in our Knoxville office. The Mechanical Engineering Intern will perform a variety of engineering work in the initial planning and design phases of projects.

　　Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

　　Work activities include collection and interpretation of engineering data, development of project design basis, development of specifications, and performance of detailed engineering.

　　Ensures conformance to applicable engineering codes and standards as well as company policies and procedures.

　　Is aware of costs and schedule related to own work.

　　Organizes own work to meet deadlines set by others.

　　Communicates information, asks questions and checks for understanding.

　　Contributes to a team environment

　　Basic Qualifications:

　　Bachelors or master's degree in mechanical engineering, 0 -- 1 years related experience

　　Has basic knowledge of theories, practices and procedures in mechanical engineering.

　　Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and technical engineering software, some CADD experience (AutoCAD, REVIT and/or MicroStation) along with good verbal and writing skills.

　　FE and EIT candidates preferred.

　　Ability to work independently and in a diverse team setting

　　Willingness to work across Engineering disciplines

　　Strong multitasking skills

　　Strong problem-solving skills
