JOB REQUIREMENTS: Duties and Responsibilties of Job: Loparex LLC is theworlds largest manufacturer of extrusion base and silicone coatedrelease liners for the converting industry. We have manufacturingoperations throughout the U.S., Europe, China, and India. We arecurrently looking for a Process Engineer at the Hammond facility. TheProcess Engineer will provide technical support and guidance on productsrun on their assigned area by collaborating with operations management,technical team, and machine operators. In this role, the processengineer will be responsible for contributing to the production of aquality product by working toward process optimization and makingrecommendations to leadership to improve manufacturing processes. Thisposition will include dispositioning non-conforming product, setting updatabases and systems to facilitate the use and manipulation of qualitydata, and use statistical analysis to analyze large amounts ofproduction data. Process Engineers will also closely support the Qualitydepartment and engage in customer and regulatory body audits, providingassistance with customer complaints, develop and implement correctiveand preventative actions, and assist development of new products andprocesses. This role will also lead plant trials and lead the successfulstartup and implementation of new or modified equipment. Qualifyingcandidates must possess a bachelor\'s degree in Chemical, Polymer, orMechanical Engineering, and 2 to 4 years of previous experience, or acombination of education and experience to meet the positionrequirements. Candidates should have a strong background and interest instatistical qualify control and database management, experience with sixsigma/lean manufacturing techniques, and team concept training.Knowledge of film, web handling, extrusion laminating and/or blown filextrusion is highly preferred.
