Job Description

The Pharmacist provides patient care through the review of medication orders, review of patient profiles, verification of medication orders and direct oversight of pharmacy technicians and interns. The Pharmacist should demonstrate basic knowledge of pharmacology and therapeutics, and understand pharmacy systems of medication distribution and formulary management. Work independently with occasional direction from the pharmacy leadership team.

Minimum Requirements

Missouri Board of Pharmacy pharmacist license with Medication Therapy Services (MTS) designation in good standing.

Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from a pharmacy program accredited by the American Council of Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE).

Completion of Medical Staff Credentialing and Privileging process.

Maybe required to obtain and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Complete within 6 months of start date or notification that the certifications must be possessed.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous inpatient hospital pharmacy experience.

Board Certification in respective area of practice through the Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties.

Completion of an ASHP accredited PGY1 pharmacy residency.

Completion of an ASHP accredited PGY2 pharmacy residency.

Completion of a pharmacy fellowship training program.
