　　As the successful Principal Statistician, you are accountable for providing expert statistical support across all Convatec Business Units. You will ensure Convatec’s statistical processes are robust and effective and are supported by effective statistical training and will lead continuous improvement initiatives for statistical processes in the Quality Systems.

　　Your key duties and responsibilities:

　　Champion statistical activities across Convatec Business Units through process ownership, leadership and facilitation. Demonstrate courage to drive sound statistical decision-making that balance compliance, business, and product performance without compromising customer safety.

　　Provide leadership as subject matter expert in statistical methods and actively support and influence project teams in the translation of Design and testing requirements into appropriate statistical methods and sample sizes for both product development and production.

　　Support the development and validation of test methods and other measurement systems.

　　Support the development, validation and on-going monitoring of manufacturing processes.

　　Upskill users of statistical processes through targeted and continuous training activities and creation of training materials.

　　Support regulatory submissions, audits and responses as a subject matter expert with respect to statistical methods and sample sizes.

　　Work closely with the Design and manufacturing teams to ensure a robust Design Transfer. Support the development of comprehensive Quality Control Plans that meet the standards and statistical requirements appropriate for the type of product.

　　Participate in post launch reviews and investigate product / process performance issues and participate in multifunctional evaluation of products in the market.

　　About you:

　　You have demonstrated knowledge and expertise with Statistical tools (e.g. Minitab) and techniques (e.g. MSA, SPC, hypothesis testing, sample size determination, regression analysis, DOE, distribution identification) with the ability to liaise with other business functions such as Quality Management, Regulatory Affairs, Clinical/Medical Affairs, Sourcing, Operations and Marketing to ensure cross functional input during the execution of statistical methods.

　　Education/Qualifications:

　　Degree or proven experience in Statistics.

　　The ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written) is essential. Ability to communicate effectively in additional languages would be advantageous but not essential.

　　Demonstrated knowledge and expertise with Statistical tools (e.g. Minitab) and techniques (e.g. MSA, SPC, hypothesis testing, sample size determination, regression analysis, DOE, distribution identification)

　　Experience gained within a Regulated Industry, preferable Medical Devices.

　　Experience with Quality tools such as Quality Control Plans, Test Method Validation and Transfer, Root Cause Analysis, Process Validation, Process Optimization.

　　Logical Thinking Skills and Experience: demonstrated ability to analyse and interpret complex problems / data gathered from a variety of sources.

　　Demonstrated ability to effectively work and communicate in a cross-functional, multinational environment building co-operative working relationships. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with multi-cultural and diverse suppliers and contract manufacturers.

　　Good interpersonal skills and ability to influence people without direct authority.

　　Proactive and flexible in adapting to changing environment and able to manage and prioritize work and competing objectives.

　　Must be proficient with PC programs, i.e. Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

　　Driving license.

　　Working Conditions

　　This position will be mainly remote; however, we will expect our successful candidate to travel for team meetings (Domestic and International), as required.

　　Travel

　　Minimal travel, less than 25%. This position requires some Domestic and International travel to be undertaken, which will necessitate overnight stays.
