The Prime Video Subscriptions team is responsible for all offers, sign-up and cancellation flow, and transactional communications like email, for all Prime memberships sold through Prime Video, as well as Prime Video-only plans, mobile-only plans, and third-party Channel subscriptions such as Paramount+ and HBO Max. We operate at massive scale worldwide, connecting with all Prime Video customers on their sign-up and cancellation journeys, building across a full-stack of technologies to not just deliver world class distributed systems, but also best-in-class experiences and platforms. Our mission is win to customers' long-term loyalty by unlocking subscriptions that bring the shows they love, at the best prices, and by being the most transparent and helpful subscription offering available.
We’re looking for a software leader to drive critical technical decisions across our programs, own key architectural designs for the future of our products/services, and to partner with technical stakeholders to influence and impact Amazon-wide platforms. This role will involve strategic and tactical operation, across both backend and customer-facing systems, but lean heavily toward strategic. You will have an opportunity to mentor and guide engineers, and to help drive/promote a high passion culture for rapid innovation at major scale.

Basic Qualifications
· BS degree in Computer Science
· Proven track record of leading the delivery of large-scale, high-quality systems focused on the infrastructure and platform layers of the technology stack
· Demonstrated passion for customer experience and usability, including successful delivery of customer self-service tools and automated management/optimization of services, and a strong services orientation
· Experience managing complex projects, with significant bottom-line impact
· Experience leading development life cycle process and best practices
· Experience with Agile Management (SCRUM, RUP, XP)
· Experience mentoring/training an engineering community on complex technical issues
Preferred Qualifications
· MS or Ph.D. degree in Computer science
· Experience as a principal-level software engineer
· Experience with AWS infrastructure and services
