Job Description – CIAM/ForgeRock Engineer
Position Summary:
As a ForgeRock Engineer at Southern Company, you will play a critical role in advancing our customer identity and access management (CIAM) capabilities. You will be centered in the deployment of our new ForgeRock product, focusing on the technical aspects of installation, integration, and project management throughout the systems development lifecycle (SDLC). Your expertise will help ensure successful integration of this robust identity platform into our existing infrastructure to improve our service offerings to customers.
As a ForgeRock Engineer, you will be part of the DSS(Development Strategies and Standards) team within the Technology Organization inside Southern Company. The DSS sub-team is responsible for developing and maintaining enterprise reuse and a number of security applications. You will work with a diverse and talented group of engineers, architects, and analysts who share a passion for innovation and excellence. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to deliver solutions that meet business needs and enhance customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Co-Lead the installation, integration, and deployment of ForgeRock within the client environment, ensuring a seamless and efficient adoption process.
Design and maintain identity & access governance solutions including role-based access control, access request, and access certification processes.
Manage projects using full system development lifecycle principles to deliver solutions timely and effectively.
Develop and implement information systems with particular emphasis on ForgeRock's identity management, access management, and access governance capabilities.
Architect technical solutions that integrate identity and access management software into the company's infrastructure and applications.
Collaborate with teams across the organization, including IT, security, and various business units to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
Document technical processes throughout the SDLC, ensuring clarity and understanding for all stakeholders.
Stay abreast of developments and best practices in CIAM and ForgeRock product enhancements to make recommendations for improvements.
Ensure reliable operation of the ForgeRock product through reliable architecture decisions and appropriate monitoring.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
A minimum of 3 years of experience with:
The installation, integration, and deployment of ForgeRock solutions in diverse client environments.
Identity and Access Governance including role-based access control, access request, and certification.
Managing projects throughout the full system development lifecycle.
Developing, implementing, or architecting information systems.
Technical architecture experience with a focus on integrating identity management, access management, and access governance software.
Preferred:
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to business stakeholders effectively.
Experience in developing technical SDLC documentation to support information system implementations.
Strong organizational and time management competencies to handle multiple tasks and competing priorities.
Must be highly collaborative and able to function as part of a team involving multiple groups and disciplines.
