We are seeking a Principal Scientist to join our Preclinical Histology Core (PHC) to support a range of experiments including immunohistochemistry, in situ hybridization (RNAScope, BaseScope, HCR), and IF multiplex. You will work closely with our research groups, requiring a deep understanding of biological questions and the ability to design histology experiments to address them. Additionally, you will lead and implement development requests, including antibody validation and IF multiplex assembly.

　　As a Principal Scientist, a typical day might include:

　　Engaging with a diverse range of research groups and integrate their studies for execution in the PHC

　　Working closely with and providing guidance to junior histologists on experimental design

　　Leading histology-based assays including immunohistochemistry (IHC) and fluorescent multiplex, utilizing stainers such as Ventana Discovery Ultra and Leica Bond

　　Performing complex histology experiments, with an emphasis on IF Multiplex

　　Interpreting data and troubleshooting experiments for the integrated studies

　　Overseeing lab operations, including the organization and procurement of materials and reagents necessary for studies, maintenance of histology equipment, and management of data records.

　　Collaborating with team members to coordinate and troubleshoot multiple experiments, adapting to shifting priorities and timelines, and providing updates on project progress

　　In order to be considered for this role , you must have at least a Ph.D. and 5+ years or a BS/MS with 10+ years of relevant experience. We need someone who will collaborate closely with research groups, comprehend their requirements, and design and spearhead histology studies. Advanced knowledge in antibody validation and assembling and scanning fluorescent multiplex is essential. Experience with automated stainers and scanners is highly preferred. Proficiency in data analysis using HALO or conducting pathology assessments would be a significant advantage.
