  Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will advance technology capabilities within the Research and Development (R&D) Digital Technology and Innovation (DTI) organization. You will have the unique opportunity to shape the long-term strategy and capabilities of this solution at Amgen. The RDDC (Research and Development Data Catalog) is a leading data product in a portfolio of solutions critical to our R&D Teams, allowing them to discover datasets that can be leveraged to increase the speed and probability of successful Amgen product development and commercialization and supporting digital transformation initiatives, such as Precision Medicine and AI.

  What you’ll be doing:

  Author and disseminate architecture and integration drawings for the RDDC solution

  Collaborate with Architects across other product, platform, and infrastructure teams to align on points of integration and reuse

  Establish strong partnerships with collaborators to define feature groups and features, and plan roadmap; Influence the vision and roadmap based on technology capabilities and best practices, and in alignment with the enterprise technology strategy

  Take charge of decomposing features into technical activities

  Lead framing and communication of technical barriers and options to Product Owner and collaborators

  Assist and lead team through resolution of major challenges and bugs

  Foster the technical growth and development of product team members

  Establish and maintain key partnerships across Research & Development and DTI teams

  Identify and leverage ground breaking technologies to facilitate data management and streamline processes

  What we expect of you

  Basic Qualifications:

  Doctorate degree and 2 years of Information Systems experience

  Or

  Master’s degree and 6 years of Information Systems experience

  Or

  Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of Information Systems experience

  Or

  Associate’s degree and 10 years of Information Systems experience

  Or

  High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Information Systems experience

  Preferred Qualifications:

  5+ years of product architecture / technical leadership experience with a data product

  Advanced proficiency of the following technologies: SQL, PowerBI, relational databases design, dimensional modeling, data modeling, AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS, IAM), CI/CD/Gitlab, Databricks

  5+ years experience designing and operating data blending and unification solutions

  5+ years experience designing and operating ETL and pipeline development and operationalization

  Proficiency using Jira in a Scaled Agile environment, managing a feature roadmap for a data asset solution

  Exceptional verbal and written, interpersonal communication and presentation skills and ability to communicate with Business, and Stakeholders of various levels of technical background and expertise

  Experience, training and/or education in healthcare technology solutions

  Highly organized self-starter with good communication skills

  Strong learning agility and technical leadership with the ability to breakdown complex topics and issues into actionable plans

  Demonstrated ability to organize, manage, and direct multi-functional teams to address and solve business and technical issues

  Demonstrated track record of delivering IS solutions that yield measurable business results.

  Experience in Agile product development as a participating member of a scrum team and related ceremonies and processes

  Experience with DevOps

  Experience building productive working relationships across different functions/organizations.
