The Information Security Analyst will play a pivotal role in enhancing our cybersecurity posture by focusing on the Secure Development Life Cycle improvements leveraging the Software Assurance Maturity Model (SAMM). This position requires a dynamic individual who can collaborate effectively with IT and product engineering development teams to foster a culture of secure software development.
*Ideal location will be based in Lincolnshire, IL- hybrid. Open to remote in the US or Mississauga, Canada.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Development Teams: Work closely with development teams to integrate security practices into the development lifecycle.
SAMM Education and Guidance: Educate development teams on the SAMM and help them understand how their practices are reflected in their SAMM scores.
Process Improvement: Identify and define processes to improve areas of deficiencies in software development security. Ensure these processes are not only well-designed but also functioning effectively. Work with development teams to validate the improvements and help them reflect those improvements in that SAMM scores.
Goal Setting and Validation: Assist teams in setting realistic security goals and validate their progress towards those goals, ensuring continual improvement in security practices.
Vendor Collaboration: Work directly with the SAMM tool vendor to discuss and implement improvements, ensuring the tool aligns with our organizational needs and security standards.
Continuous Monitoring and Reporting: Regularly monitor the effectiveness of security processes and report on progress and areas for improvement.
Provides direction on security policies to control physical and virtual access to systems
Oversees successful efforts to compromise systems security and designs countermeasures.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree required
12+ years of relevant experience
Relevant experience in information security, particularly in secure software development.
Familiarity with Secure Development Life Cycle practices and the Software Assurance Maturity Model (SAMM).
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
CISSP certification is preferred
Demonstrated ability to interface with all levels of management
Demonstrated ability to manage end user issues
Ability to lead teams collaboratively
Overseeing highly complex issues and applying advance root cause analysis
Ability to design highly complex systems and tools
Oversees management and strategy of documentation processes
Highly experience in effectively providing direction to manage in a fast-paced, high growth, rapidly changing environment

Salary: USD 133000.00 - USD 199400.00 Yearly
Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.
