　　Northrop Grumman Space Systems is searching for an experienced Principal Engineer Software / Sr. Principal Engineer Software - DevOps to support a Ground System in Morrisville, NC or Fairfax, VA .

　　The successful candidate for this position will join a group of DevOps engineers that is designing, deploying, and maintaining Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments for a ground system. The ground system will include Docker containers orchestrated by Kubernetes.

　　Essential Functions:

　　Develop Infrastructure as Code scripts in Terraform, Helm, and Puppet to provision AWS resources. Deploy and maintain the Dockerized ground system application on Kubernetes clusters. Configure and maintain EC2 developer instances and development environment. Configure and maintain DevOps Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline tools.

　　This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on the qualifications listed below.

　　Basic Qualifications:

　　Principal Engineer DevOPs : Bachelor's degree in STEM related degree with 5 + years of experience; 3 years with a Master's; 0 years with a PhD.

　　Sr. Principal Engineer DevOPs : Bachelor's degree in STEM related degree with 9 + years of software development experience; 7 years with a Master's; 0 years with a PhD.

　　Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Poly

　　Experience with software systems deployment and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)

　　Knowledge of DevOps, i.e. Jenkins and Nexus

　　CompTIA Security+ or equivalent

　　Preferred Qualifications

　　Experience with AWS

　　Knowledge of Kubernetes

　　Experience with Red Hat Linux administration

　　Experience developing Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Helm, Puppet)

　　Willing to document key knowledge and share with team

　　Salary Range: $97,500 - $160,900

　　Salary Range 2: $121,000 - $199,600

　　The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

　　Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
