Harris Miller Miller & Hanson Inc. (HMMH) is seeking an experienced andhighly skilled Aviation Air Quality Principal Consultant to join ourteam. As an Air Quality Consultant, you will play a crucial role inleading and contributing to technically challenging air quality projectswithin the aviation sector. The ideal candidate will have a strongbackground in emissions modeling and inventory development, emissionmanagement and reduction planning, and air quality analysis for NEPAdocuments. In addition, the successful candidate will possess projectmanagement experience and will be comfortable overseeing bothindependent work and supervising small to large teams of technical andprofessional staff. Your primary responsibility will involve working onenvironmental and planning projects across HMMH\'s practice areas, witha specific focus on aviation. You will be responsible for developingemissions inventories for criteria pollutants and greenhouse gases,conducting computer modeling of air pollution dispersion, performingstatistical and geospatial analyses of air quality data, and analyzingmitigation measures. Additionally, you will contribute to thedevelopment of climate change strategy/action plans, goals, andmodeling, as well as the establishment of science-based targets. Yourexpertise will also be instrumental in supporting environmentalassessments and impact statements, critically reviewing and interpretinglocal, state, and federal environmental regulations. KeyResponsibilities: Develop comprehensive emissions inventories for bothcriteria pollutants and greenhouse gases. Utilize advanced computermodeling techniques to simulate and analyze air pollution dispersion.Conduct statistical and geospatial analyses of air quality data toidentify trends and patterns. Assess and analyze various mitigationmeasures to identify effective strategies. Contribute to the developmentof climate change strategy/action plans, goals, and modeling. Providesupport in environmental assessments and impact statements. Review andinterpret local, state, and federal environmental regulationscritically. Maintain strong client relationships and ensure timely andefficient delivery of project deliverables. Serve as the technical lead,overseeing Consultant-level staff on a variety of projects. Other dutiesas required. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree inChemical, Mechanical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering or a relatedscientific discipline (additional air quality coursework is a plus). Aminimum of 12 years of experience in air quality or a related field.Proficiency in the FAA\'s air quality modeling program AEDT. Strongcomputing skills, including advanced use of spreadsheets and wordprocessing. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with afocus on problem-solving and organization. Ability to effectivelycommunicate technical information to non-technical audiences.Demonstrated capability in understanding, interpreting, and applyingenvironmental regulations to real-world situations. Programming,database, and GIS skills are preferred but not required.
