We are at the initial stages of developing our product sustainability program and we are looking for an energetic and passionate intern to help us progress in our journey. You will work with an international team as we collaborate to progress in our sustainability goals.

GE Vernova’s Power Conversion business provides energy conversion technologies, systems, and services across the power and energy- intensive industries, driving the electric transformation of the world’s energy and industrial infrastructure. . We work with some of the world’s major energy, maritime and industrial organizations, helping to enable a transition to energy efficiency and decarbonization, including through our specialist motors, drives and control technologies.
As a Power Conversion Sustainability Intern, you will
Assist in the development of life cycle analysis (LCA) for products
Document processes and develop tools for LCAs
Help identify key areas for improvement in product life cycles and scoping of cost / efforts
Analyze emissions data and assist in the long term planning for improvements
Assist in other Scope 1, 2, 3 emissions tracking and analysis
Other random engineering related activities
Qualifications/Requirements
Must be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program in an engineering discipline as listed below.
Following majors accepted: Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
Must maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (without rounding).
Must be willing to take a drug test as part of the selection process
Must be willing to submit to a background investigation as part of the selection process
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must be able to develop and maintain good customer relationships
Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
Must be willing to work in geographical area specified by the business
Must have the ability to work in the US for an unlimited amount of time without sponsorship
Relocation Assistance:
Co-op/Interns will be reimbursed for reasonable, proper, and documented expenditures incurred while initially reporting to work and returning to school/home upon completion of the assignment. Employees with a permanent address greater than 50 miles away from the work location are eligible.
Housing Allowance:
Co-op/Interns employees receive a weekly housing allowance to help off-set living expenses when the co-op/Intern’s permanent residence is at least 50 miles away from the work location.
