　　There is an openPostdoctoral Scholarposition for a creative, enthusiastic and highly motivated individual in the laboratory of Kumar Narayanan (

　　https://narayanan.lab.uiowa.edu/) at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine, Iowa City, IA. We have a track record of innovative human neurophysiology.

　　This individual will collaborate extensively with Prof. Soura Dasgupta in Electrical and Computer EngineeringandProf.Ergun Uc(MD)in Neurology. Our group is focused on cortical dynamics and machine learning from human neurophysiology samples collected via EEGin several federally funded studies. Because we can correlate data from these diverse techniqueswith multimodal clinical and imaging methodsto work in intraoperative human and rodent neurophysiology, this work will uniquely matter to patients with Parkinson's disease.

　　Masteryof MATLAB, R, or Pythonis required. Expertise in signal processing is also required. The candidate must have at least one first author publication.

　　The Narayanan laboratory is in the Iowa Neuroscience Institute and the Department of Neurology at the University of Iowa and located within the Pappajohn Biodiscovery Building. Dr. Narayanan and the Iowa Neuroscience institute are committed to the development of trainees. Our trainees in the lab have gotten 4 NRSAs, 2 mentored NARSAD grants, and 2 K awards, and 5 trainees have gone on to tenure-track positions across the country.
