The Covey Lab invites applications for a Postdoctoral position to begin immediately. The successful candidate will contribute creatively to ongoing research related to understanding the role of the adaptive immune system in autoimmunity and inflammation using mouse models. Responsibilities associated with this position include the ability to work independently on a project and use techniques that can measure cellular and molecular responses of immune cells. Also, the individual will be required to work with mice as a model system. The ability to troubleshoot problems and develop research plans is a requisite for this position.

  Qualifications

  

Minimum Education and Experience
A Ph.D. in a relevant biomedical field is required and experience working either in the immunology field is strongly preferred. Experience and preference for working productively in a collaborative environment is a strong plus.
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Necessary skills include standard molecular biology and extensive cell culture techniques. Experience with mouse work, immunological assays such as flow cytometry and/or immunohistochemistry of tissues is also desirable.

  Immunization Requirements Under Policy 60.1.35 , Rutgers University requires all prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption.
