　　Job Description :

　　GENERAL OVERVIEW:

　　Performs all functions related to polysomnographic exams and multiple sleep latency testing to provide comprehensive diagnostic evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders; assists with clinical and administrative oversight of polysomnographic technicians.

　　ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

　　Performs all polysomnograms and MSLTs according to clinical practice guidelines, as well as departmental policy and procedures. (50%)

　　Provides patient education. (15%)

　　Organizes and prioritizes workload and scheduling of patient testing in an efficient and effective manner. (10%)

　　Assists with billing documentation and maintains department records according to departmental policy/procedure. (5%)

　　Oversees the proper calibration, quality control and analysis of all polysomnographic equipment. (10%)

　　Mentors polysomnographic techs and provides educational oversight. (10%)

　　Performs other duties as assigned or required.

　　QUALIFICATIONS:

　　Minimum

　　4 years with sleep study testing

　　Graduate of polysomnography course or completion of an approved sleep lab training program.

　　Current BCLS certification.

　　Preferred

　　Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy.

　　Basic EEG course.

　　RPSGT, CRT or RRT.

　　Computer experience.

　　Previous supervisory experience.
