Description
As a Printer Technician you will be asked to :
Install and configure printers, scanners, and other printing peripherals.
Perform routine maintenance on printers to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to printers.
Respond to service requests and provide timely technical support for printer-related problems.
Collaborate with other IT support team members to address complex printing issues.
Manage and maintain an inventory of printer supplies, including toner cartridges and paper.
Coordinate with vendors for printer repairs and warranty services when necessary.
Stay updated on the latest developments in printer technology and recommend upgrades or enhancements.
Train end-users on proper printer usage and basic troubleshooting techniques.
Document all printer-related activities, including installations, repairs, and maintenance procedures.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Printer Technician or similar role.
In-depth knowledge of various printer models and printing technologies.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with printer networking and connectivity issues.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Detail-oriented with a focus on providing high-quality support.
Physical ability to lift and move printer equipment.
Valid driver's license may be required for on-site support.
