The Process Technician is responsible for all the molding process,production equipment and manufacturing process set up and controls whileproduction jobs are being run. This position is also responsible formaintaining prescribed production levels, prescribed quality levels andestablishing the necessary process controls to manufacture acceptableproducts. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: - Installs production jobs per theproduction schedule. - Sets up mold and ancillary equipment as requiredper the set up sheet. - Perform routine maintenance on molds. -Documents all production processes. - Maintains production equipment toprescribed quality levels. - Monitors production process to ensure thatall production being produced meets Quality standards. - Makes properadjustments to molding process to ensure quality standards are met. -Ensures that all production personnel are aware of the quality standardsfor each job. - Continuous Improvement on all aspects of themanufacturing area. - Work on finding new and better solutions to ourprocess concerns, this can include the implementation of new auxiliaryequipment. - Works closely with the Process Engineer and QualityEngineer while production jobs are running during new and existing toolvalidations. - Continually monitors scrap rate, cycle time, andefficiencies. - Ensure that all safety procedures are followed - Ensurethat all equipment safeties are not altered or defeated. - Maintain aclean and safe work environment - Other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS (Education/Experience/Knowledge, Skills &Abilities) - High School diploma or equivalent - 5-7 years ofinjection molding processing experience required - Basic computer skillsrequired - Ability to read, write and verbally communicate clearly - Hasbeen trained on the fundamentals of Scientific Molding which includesgate freeze, viscosity curve, short shot studies, pressure drops andperforming DOE\'s. - Has the general understanding and knowledge ofpressure transducers, de-coupled molding and the interactions withinjection molding machines. - Has the capabilities and knowledge toset-up and document Process alarm settings. - Must be able to lift up to75 lbs. - Must have good vision. - Must have manual dexterity. - Must beable to sit or stand for long periods of time. - Repetitive motions arerequired. - Must be able to move 1,100 lb. gaylords with a palletjack. - Requires frequent bending, squatting, and twisting motions. -Must be able to climb stepladders. - Must be able to climb up and downstairs. - Must be available for overtime as needed. - Must have goodverbal and written communication skills. - Perform job duties inaccordance to ISO 13485/9001 including ISO audits.
