Your Role:
The Support Department Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing control of the manufacturing processes for the print production of a folding cartons; this includes direct management of the Ink room department and the Cylinder room department in a roto-gravure printing plant that uses both water based and Solvent based inks/coatings. This position is responsible for the safety of direct team members as well as the managing our Title V environmental program related to ink/coatings/solvents, managing their use and overseeing daily & monthly reporting. You will have the opportunity to:
Provide technical support to the Printing department.
Accurately maintain Ink, coating and solvent inventory.
Support ink dispensing and Cylinder washing equipment.
Create color matchings and adjust color formulas as needed to meet customer expectations.
Evaluate and make recommendations of equipment and processes to ensure compliance with continuous improvement.
Coordinate Ink, Cylinder and misc equipment to support plant. Ensure compliance with all company policies/procedures.
Source equipment supplies and purchase as necessary.

We need you to have:
High School Diploma or Associates Degree.
10 years’ experience in an ink and/or cylinder related business or similar detailed experience.
Roto-gravure printing experience.
Experience with Environmental programs and Hazardous waste.
Experience working with cross-functional teams developing and updating specifications, procedures, and other written programs.
Must be capable of accurately reading color.
Excellent in basic math concepts (weights, percentage calculations, etc).
Proficient in MS Office.
Ability to work a flexible schedule during key business deadlines.
Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle.
Icing on the cake:
Experience troubleshooting printing production equipment strongly desired.
Proficient in SAP a plus.

Job Requirements
