Position Overview:
Ameresco has an opportunity for a Plant Specialist to join or team at our O&M Customer site in Woodland, CA. Ameresco is looking for a motivated individual to operate the five Caterpillar engines at our Landfill Gas to Energy Power Plant.
Responsibilities:
Ensure Safe operations of engines and supporting equipment.
Maintain daily operation of five Caterpillar landfill gas engines.
Perform assigned tasks required to maintain compliance with environmental permits.
Coordinate planned and unplanned service work with subcontractors.
Complete scheduling with power authority.
Perform frequent rounds of plant and report any abnormalities.
Prepare and maintain daily reports.
Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
Adhere to an assigned work schedule including the availability to be on-call as assigned by supervisor.
Learn and operate various control systems for the plant.
Follow Standard Operating Procedures for plant start-up and shut down.
Stay within operating parameters set by Manager and notify management of any production problems.
Maintain good housekeeping practices.
Maintain shift logs for all shift activities.
Field trouble calls from customers and document as required.
Adhere to all company and customer safety requirements and policies.
Follow not only Ameresco policies but Yolo County Polices as well.
Perform other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.
Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Valid Drivers’ License in good standing, issued by resident state required.
Ability to provide on-call response.
Additional Qualifications:
Experience with Deisel, gas, landfill gas, natural gas engines.
Experience with landfill wellfield operations.
