Position Summary
Provide leadership and direction for all manufacturing and other related activities at the facility. Overall accountability for colleague safety, product quality, and the achievement of key performance objectives. Challenges and drives continuous improvement throughout all functions to ensure cost competitiveness and long-term vitality.
Responsibilities
Lead 2-8 direct reports including teams of 4-35 salary and 50-400 hourly colleagues
Leadership of daily plant execution and improvement in core competencies (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery)
Facilitate strategic planning for facility and lead strategic objectives/projects aligned with NA Operations initiatives via Hoshin
Create and articulate a vision with plant team; lead and motivate team to execute key strategies
Complete review, recommendation, and sharing of the annual hourly wage surveys
Summarize and share key plant results, forecasts, and strategies via monthly highlights and plant business mtgs
Connect with other business leaders in community
Development of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
Establish, communicate, and ensure facility meets and/or exceeds financial commitments
Participate on global teams, complex business projects and operation initiatives
Collaborate/network across other NA functions (ie: R&D, NA-SS, Finance. Procurement, SC, Commercial, and Legal)
What we are looking for
Bachelor’s degree (Engineering, Business Management, or other Technical Degree preferred)
Minimum 10 years’ experience with proven leadership in a prior cross functional operational leadership role
Change & innovation demonstrated
Building relationships among colleagues at all levels of the organization
Developing the organization to inspire and motivate towards success
Strategic thinking to prepare plant and resources for the future
Success in developing individual contributors and future leaders in the business
