What we do:
GroupeSTAHL is a leading international manufacturer, distributor, and direct supplier in the field of custom textile printing.
What you'll be doing:
The Controller position provides accounting support for Transfer Express (TXP) Mentor, Ohio location. This role will report to the CFO. The TXP Controller position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and is responsible for accuracy of all financial reporting and accounting activities for TXP. Corporate provides shared services for AP/AR.
Responsible for accuracy of all accounting transactions
Coordinate and complete the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly financial forecasts
Contribute and actively participate in the development of the yearly business plan
Prepare and publish timely and accurate monthly financial statements
Adhere to Corporate Month End and Year-End calendar and deadlines
Conduct and participate in all scheduled physical inventories for both locations
Prepare and complete all assigned year-end audit requests
Complete and submit all required monthly financial reporting to corporate
Complete and maintain balance sheet account reconciliations monthly
Regularly maintain, audit, and reconcile fixed asset reports
Provide timely data and reports necessary to comply with government and tax filings
Comply with corporate accounting policies and guidelines
Participate in corporate and division projects, as required
Develop and enhance strong financial controls in line with Groupe strategies
Create strong relationships within the plant in support of all areas of manufacturing
Work to support the Cost Accounting Group
Qualifications
What we are looking for:
Bachelor’s Degree (required)
CPA/CMA (preferred)
7+ years progressive accounting experience, 3+ years in a similar role
Strong and proven knowledge of US GAAP
High level of proficiency in Excel
Thorough understanding of ERP systems, including manufacturing and inventory modules
Microsoft Great Plains (GP) experience (preferred)
