Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Coordinate shop floor orders, documentation, and material in support of multiple projects in production.
This role is contingent upon award of a US government contract to the Company.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works cross-functionally with warehouse staff to resolve any kitting or inventory issues.
Prepare shop floor orders for production: release orders, print necessary documentation, and material labels.
Execute material requisitions as needed to support active production orders.
Track and update production order status in MRP.
Coordinates and prepares shop floor orders in accordance with the defined production plan.
Monitor material shortages for active production orders and generate pick lists as necessary.
Stage production orders at point of use based on defined production schedule.
Track and incorporate engineering change notices providing documentation and material to production staff.
Responsible for own work and to provide guidance to others as needed.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
Must have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification.
Associate’s degree and 3-5 years of experience in related field required or in lieu of degree minimum 5 years of experience in production, scheduling, purchasing or other related field.
Military experience is required.
QUALIFICATONS:
Strong written and verbal communication
Strong computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite
Must possess strong analytical and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate to achieve desired goals and results
MRP/ERP experience preferred
Excellent and personable verbal, presentation and written communication skills.
Strong work ethic and sense of urgency, with the ability to manage competing demands and frequent changes in the work environment, while managing time effectively to meet deadlines
