JOB OPPORTUNITY: Physician (Hospitalist) The Hospital of Central Connecticut seeks a full-time Physician (Hospitalist) in New Britain, CT to: provide internal medicine services and treatment to patients admitted to the hospital; attend to medical needs of patients, admit patients to the hospital for care, plan and implement patient treatment programs, and participate in rounds; work closely and collaboratively with referring physicians from the community to assure effective communication to optimize patients care; develop, modify and maintain the highest quality "hand off" systems between Hospitalists and others involved in the care of the patient to assure a complete transfer of patient information in a manner combining written, electronic and verbal communication; and actively participate in, and help develop new programs, patient care activities, systems of care, and other activities. This position may also be assigned to work at MidState Medical Center, 435 Lewis Avenue, Meriden, CT 06451. The minimum requirements for the Physician (Hospitalist) position are: a U.S. M.D. or D.O. degree or its foreign equivalent; completion of a U.S. medical residency in internal medicine or family medicine; board eligibility or certification in internal medicine or in family medicine; and the possession of or eligibility for an unrestricted Connecticut medical license.
