Park Nicollet Health Services Bariatric/General Surgeon 1.0 FTE Minneapolis, MN Park Nicollet Clinic is looking for a BC/BE fellowship trained bariatric and foregut surgeon to join our team. Training should include laparoscopic vertical sleeve gastrectomies, RY gastric bypass, duodenal switch, complex bariatric revisions / conversions as well as esophagectomies (working collaboratively with our thoracic surgery team). Being a part of our team means you will have an impact on the care that our patients receive every day. The Bariatric Surgery &Weight Management Center is currently comprised of 3 bariatric surgeons, 3 bariatricians, 7 physician assistants, experienced general and bariatric nurses, dietitians, psychologists, physical therapists and great support staff to provide the best in patient experience. We are a fully accredited comprehensive center with obesity medicine qualifications through MBSAQIP. We offer patients a comprehensive program with closely integrated medical and surgical options, and extensive pre-op and post-op care. The position will encompass both elective bariatric and elective general surgery practice as this position is split between the Department of Metabolic and Bariatric surgery and the General surgery department. Our general surgery call pool is currently comprised of 14 surgeons, call is divided equally, providing call coverage for all general surgery subspecialties as well as bariatric surgery. The bariatric surgeons are also available on backup should our colleagues need our assistance in management of the complex post bariatric surgery patient.
