Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Albany Medical Center Outpatient Physical Therapy is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist. We are looking for a self-motivated therapist with an interest in treating a wide variety of patient populations. Specialty training in orthopedic or neurologic populations are encouraged by not required. Strong diagnostic and manual treatment skills are recommended.
• Our large facility provides both open gym area and private treatment rooms with state-of-the-art equipment including Bioness Vector, Aquacisor, Bioness BITS and Radial Pulse Wave units.

Desired Skills/Abilities:
• Skilled evaluation and examination of orthopedic and neurological injuries.
• Development of a plan of care appropriate for each individual patient including the patient and family.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and skill in the selection and implementation of appropriate treatment techniques utilizing traditional modalities, manual skills, and available technology.
• Excellent time management and documentation skills.
• Team oriented focus with both clinical and support staff.
• Strong manual and orthopedic skills.
• Experience preferred; new graduates who meet the above criteria welcome to apply.
Requirements:
• Current NYS physical therapy license, CPR certification
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Administers patient evaluation and treatments employing physical therapy modalities, procedures and interventions.
Schedules patients. Maintains written and verbal communication regarding patient and departmental concerns, and submits accurate billing information
Participates in rotations in all clinical areas
Participates in teaching, including annual in-service to peers
Participates as a clinical instructor for students
Supervises PTA’s
Promotes and contributes to all sanitary and housekeeping policies which are designed to maintain the cleanliness and readiness of all clinic and general staff areas
Participates with the department quality improvement activities.
