Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced PHP Developer to join our development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining server-side web applications, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. As a PHP Developer, you should have a strong understanding of PHP programming languages, web application development, and database management.
Responsibilities:
Server-Side Development:
Develop, test, and maintain server-side web applications written in PHP.
Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
Database Management:
Design and maintain databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or other relational databases) to support application requirements.
Optimize database queries for efficient data retrieval and manipulation.
API Development:
Design and implement RESTful APIs for seamless communication between the front-end and back-end systems.
Integrate third-party APIs as needed.
Code Optimization and Performance Tuning:
Identify and fix performance bottlenecks in the server-side code.
Optimize application code for maximum speed and scalability.
Security:
Implement security best practices to safeguard applications against common vulnerabilities.
Conduct regular security assessments and address any identified issues promptly.
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, UI/UX designers, and product owners.
Communicate effectively and contribute to a positive team environment.
Code Review and Quality Assurance:
Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality and ensure adherence to coding standards.
Collaborate with QA engineers to identify and resolve bugs and issues during the testing phase.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as a PHP Developer with a portfolio of relevant projects.
Strong proficiency in PHP and understanding of its quirks.
Experience with web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Database management skills with knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar.
Familiarity with version control using Git.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter.
Knowledge of front-end frameworks/libraries such as Bootstrap, jQuery, or Vue.js.
Understanding of web server configurations (Apache, Nginx).
Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker.
Continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) experience.
