Description:

　　-package medication into single dose packs

　　-visit hospital floors to serve medication to patient rooms

　　-use Pyxis and Omnicell machines

　　-answer pharmacy phone inquiries

　　-approve of prescriptions on computer through Electronic Medical Records

　　-utilize Pyxis cabinet

　　-advise on medication dosaging

　　-monitor pharmacy technicians in department and verify they are performing required functions

　　-determine drug appropriateness

　　-help with meds to beds program (out patient)

　　-monitor the retail pharmacy at penn

　　-follow hospital and departmental procedures

　　-prepare IV bags in clean room setting

　　-complete IV mixes from start to finish with little to no supervision

　　-use aseptic technique to create IV mixes

　　Skills:

　　pharmacy technician license, cpht, Pharmacy technician certificate, customer service, filling prescriptions, medication refill, Pharmacy, Compounding, hospital pharmacy

　　Additional Skills & Qualifications:

　　NJ state pharmacy license

　　certified pharmacy technician

　　pharmacy experience required, hospital preferred but open to specialty pharmacy, retail pharmacy, long term care, compounding
