Job Description

　　The Pharmacy Purchasing Specialist, MM (Materials Management) provides support to the Pharmacy Department, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. The Pharmacy Purchasing Specialist, MM is responsible for all purchasing related activities and reviewing and approving orders at all pharmacy locations. The Pharmacy Purchasing Specialist, MM participates in pharmacy supply chain management with internal departments and external vendors.

　　Additional responsibilities include providing cross-coverage to Materials Management areas when necessary and leading the orientation and training of all purchasing related processes.

　　Skills and Requirements

　　Minimum Education:

　　High School or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

　　Minimum Experience:

　　5 years of equivalent business/inventory control experience or 5 of years of Materials Management Technician experience with 3 years as a Materials Management Technician III; 1-years of prior pharmacy purchasing experience preferred. Pharmacy technician experience preferred.

　　License/Certification/Registration:

　　Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy Registration as a Pharmacy Technician required within 6 months of employment. null
