　　Personal Support Worker: Sutton, Ontario

　　Home Care Assistance is hiring a personal support worker to start at a facility in Sutton. It is for one-to-one care for a single resident. Shift times and dates are flexible. We have full time and part time hours available. The shifts are from 8am to 8pm and 12pm to 8pm, ongoing. 

　　Your typical day:

　　Assist with one-on-one  support for elderly resident

　　Keep resident engaged and safe

　　Assist at  mealtimes

　　All other tasks required by the care plan

　　A passion for the job in helping others

　　Companionship and friendship

　　Engage in ROM exercise and mobility activities. Example: going for walks, folding clothing together and exercise programs...

　　Connect with cognitive engagement to keep the client mentally stimulated. Example: puzzles, games, skill building and social engagement...

　　  Must haves:

　　Must be mentally strong and able to handle behaviors and dementia

　　Access to reliable transportation G License and valid insurance (is an asset)

　　Demonstrated working experience with the elderly, knowledgeable with respect to their needs

　　Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy in dealing with residents, families, and visitors

　　All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Police Vulnerable Sector Check
