VEVRAA Federal Contractor: Priority Referrals of Protected Veterans Requested PurposeUnder the direction of the Manager of Middlesex Emergency Services, the Residential Services Administrator provides case management services to formerly homeless adults now living in supportive housing apartments in Meriden (Meriden Commons) by providing linkages to educational, employment, vocational, spiritual and recreational opportunities in addition to mental health and medical treatment; to do everything reasonably possible to help keep tenants in housing.Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide linkages for clients who are in need of social, mental health, educational, vocational, recreational, spiritual, and or substance abuse services.Provide transportation to appointments for residents as appropriate.Coordinate and collaborate with other agencies and social service providers.Develop mutually reinforcing relationships with landlords and assist residents with finding housing as needed.Attend weekly and monthly agency, program and network meetings.Monitor all cases assigned and complete all documentation/charting required by Columbus House and its funders.Create strength-based person-centered service plans.Collaborate with property management and housing Authorities.Assist in the creation and facilitation of a tenant board and meetings.Other related duties as assigned.Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesBachelors Degree in Human Services preferred. A minimum of two years experience working in human services or related fields.Excellent organizational and time management skills with a deadline-oriented mindset.Strong written and oral communication skills employing the English language.Proficient in Microsoft Office and other common desktop applications.Able to effectively use the local network of substance abuse, mental health, and social services providers in New Britain and New Haven.Familiar with criminal justice and able to engage, manage, motivate, and support. Familiar with mental health, substance abuse and dual diagnosis issues and group dynamics.A complete knowledge base of all aspects of the delivery of person-centered case management.Able to meet all documentation requirements.Knowledgeable about crisis intervention, boundaries, confidentiality, universal precautions, harm reduction, trauma-informed care and motivational interviewing.Valid drivers license with a good driving.Bi-lingual (Spanish) PreferredSupervised by: Manager of Middlesex ProgramsSalary: $19.23 per hour plus excellent benefitsSchedule: 40 Hours per week: Monday - Friday, First shift flexibleMay be required to work at least two evenings each month to facilitate group activities with residents.
