Overview
The ED Performance Improvement Coordinator is responsible for planning, implementation, evaluation and reporting of the Performance Improvement/Quality Improvement and Safety programs and practices in the Emergency Departments. Designs and implements methods to continuously improve clinical outcomes and compliance with evidence-based guidelines, regulations, and professional standards of care. Educates staff and physicians on PI Plan; and develops activities. Promotes interdisciplinary collaboration with Quality Management Department, Surgical Service leadership, medical staff and other interdisciplinary teams committed to patient care excellence, prevention of adverse events, and positive patient outcomes.
Qualifications
Education/Experience
Minimum Required:
BSN or evidence of planned completion in 2 years.
Three years clinical experience in Emergency nursing.
Preferred:
Master's Degree
Previous experience related to safety and quality management principles.
License/Certification
Minimum Required:
Current RN licensure in New York State
CPR within 3 months of hire
Preferred:
CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse)About United Health Services
