  PLEASE NOTE: This is a short term position with an estimated duration of 12 months, unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables within this project are completed.  

  What you’ll do: 

  The Event Associate is responsible for assisting in the production of virtual and in-person CNBC Events.  This role works closely with the event leads to create high quality experiences for our target audiences, sponsors, and speakers.   We are looking for someone creative, solution oriented, well-organized, and able to multi-task with attention to detail.  Ideal candidates should be able to work in a team setting and independently on job responsibilities.

  Support team’s managers and event leads on overall production planning and execution

  Source and coordinate vendors based on timeline and budget expectations

  Bring new and creative ideas for event production, branding and attendee experience

  Help maintain and organize project documents including managing the event team production tracking documents, ensuring event calendar is accurate and creating pitch materials such as PowerPoint slide decks for venues and activation recommendations

  Manage production elements, including coordinating with designers on event graphics for both virtual and in-person events

  Assist team within virtual platforms, including building event environment, curating questions/comments and managing breakout sessions

  Assist with set up and tear down of in-person events

  Manage shipping and tracking of all event supplies to and from event

  Assist onsite with event execution, including vendor arrivals and set-up

  Coordinate with sales marketing team to meet sponsor requirements

  Coordinating with Editorial on agenda and website updates and formatting

  Manage logistics for multiple events at the same time

  What you'll bring:

  Two or more years of related experience planning events

  Ability to manage logistics for multiple events at the same time

  Desired Characteristics:

  Creative thinker

  Excellent problem-solving skills

  Ability to multi-task and handle competing priorities

  Excellent organization, detail orientated prioritization, time management and communication skills

  Proficient in creating slide decks and spreadsheets.
