We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Specialist to join our team in LANSING, Michigan. This role is crucial in our financial services sector, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processes using various accounting software systems. The ideal candidate should be proficient in handling full-cycle payroll, benefits administration, and 401k - RRSP administration, among other responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the full cycle of payroll operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Utilize accounting software systems and Kronos Timekeeping System for efficient payroll management.

• Administer 401k - RRSP, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.

• Oversee accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Handle 'About Time' system for accurate time tracking and reporting.

• Administer benefits, FMLA, and Cobra Administration in compliance with company policies and legal regulations.

• Manage prevailing wage procedures, ensuring compliance with labor regulations.

• Resolve any payroll-related inquiries or issues promptly and accurately.

• Continually update and maintain accurate records of payroll information.

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of payroll functions within the overall company operations.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with Kronos Timekeeping System

• Knowledge of 401k - RRSP Administration

• Familiarity with 'About Time' system

• Ability to perform Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proficiency in handling Full Cycle Payroll

• Experience in Benefits Administration

• Knowledge of FMLA regulations

• Experience with Cobra Administration

• Familiarity with Prevailing Wage laws
