Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to assist our client temporarily.
We are looking for someone who is well-versed in the understanding of payroll termination laws for states including Washington, Idaho, Oregon and California. This role will be responsible for addressing and resolving pay-related issues within ADP Vantage, focusing on items such as missing hours, paid time off (PTO), and daily terminations. You will not responsible for running payrolls, but should possess a sound understanding of the payroll process.
Responsibilities:
Review and process daily terminations and payroll adjustments for employees multiple states.
Assist with resolution and communication of all payroll error corrections and adjustments.
Address queries related to missing hours, PTO and ensure all discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.
Provide advice and support on payroll termination laws and compliance.
Participate in the payroll processing improvement initiatives using ADP Vantage.
Work closely with the payroll team to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of payroll data.
Ensure that all payroll operations are conducted in compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
Requirements
Requirements:
Proven experience as a payroll specialist or similar role with experience in ADP Vantage.
Excellent understanding of multi-location payroll and taxes.
Working knowledge of payroll procedures and payroll tax laws for states including Washington, Idaho, Oregon and California.
Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
Great attention to detail.
Confidentiality and integrity.
Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication skills with a client service approach.
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
Certification in Payroll Processing (CPP) would be a plus.
