Job Description: Payroll & HR Coordinator
We are seeking an HR Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Torrance. The ideal candidate should possess the ability to think independently and bring a proactive approach to their role. As an HR Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of various HR functions. Your responsibilities will include managing payroll for a team of 40 individuals using ADP, overseeing semi-monthly payroll processes exclusively for our California staff, and handling pay information updates. You will be engaged in full-cycle payroll management, as well as benefits administration, where you will address benefits inquiries, communicate pay and premium changes, and reconcile medical billing on a monthly basis.
Maintaining accurate personnel files, including safety documentation and investigations, will be within your purview. Your involvement will extend to aspects of recruitment, such as screening resumes and participating in various company events, including lunches and quarterly gatherings. Additionally, you will support the HR Assistant during their absence, ensuring a smooth continuation of operations. Your role will encompass onboarding and offboarding procedures, ensuring a seamless transition for employees.
This HR Coordinator role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with various facets of HR operations, from payroll and benefits to recruitment and events coordination. The successful candidate will demonstrate adaptability and a willingness to learn, and while payroll experience is valuable, we are open to candidates who can bring a well-rounded skill set to our team. This position will report to the HR Manager and presents an excellent chance to contribute to the growth and development of our team.
