　　Robert Half is on the hunt for a project professional for an interim Payroll Manager role on a part - time, remote basis. This contract Payroll Manager role requires that you have a hand in all aspects of payroll operations (vendors, systems, processes and integration). This job is a match for candidates who work to ensure timely, precise, and compliant payrolls, streamline processes, and offer excellent customer service. This long-term contract / temporary employment opportunity is based in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area.

　　What you get to do every single day

　　Manage pre- and post-payroll auditing/reconciling procedures and troubleshoot anomalies

　　Establish and maintain a team, as well as motivate it to success

　　Create all weekly, monthly, and special compensation payroll runs. Clarify pay policies (LOA, disability, worker's compensation, vacation, bonus, etc.) and make sure proper amounts/deductions are applied to earnings codes in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws

　　Work alongside fellow members of senior Finance leadership team

　　Keep an eye on all internal and external audits

　　Handle payroll staff as well as operations

　　Partner with other areas in Finance, as well as Human Resources, Tax, IT, and other departments as necessary for reporting, compliance and strategic analysis

　　Keep track of financial trends by completing payroll analysis

　　Maintain internal safeguards by managing record keeping and control systems

　　Provide accurate information and replying to questions from senior executives and cross-functional business leaders

　　Propose, lead, and work on projects in an effort to improve current processes

　　Requirements

　　Capable of working in payroll applications

　　Microsoft Excel experience preferred

　　Payroll Compliance Professional experience preferred

　　Solid understanding of Multi-state Payroll

　　Certified Payroll Profession (CPP) certification supported

　　Proficient in a wide array of payroll-related cloud-based technology solutions

　　Sound written and verbal communication skills

　　Strong interpersonal skills are ideal for this role
