Kforce's client in the downtown Milwaukee area is looking for a Payroll Manager who will oversee and supervise the organization's payroll functions, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations. This is achieved by setting up and maintaining appropriate policies, standard office operating procedures, and applying international, federal, state, and local payroll tax regulatory requirements.Responsibilities:
Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions
Manage the U.S-based Payroll Team in the completion of assigned payrolls (currently U.S., Canada and Australia)
Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates
Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions
Ensure that payrolls are processed in a timely manner, and they run successfully adhering to established regulatory requirements and laws, including tax and labor laws
This role will have up to 3 direct reports including entry level specialists and experienced payroll experts
Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff in the department
Oversees the daily workflow of the department
Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field
3-5 years of experience with payroll required
Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes
Proficient with payroll software
Experience with Workday required
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong supervisory and leadership skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
