Description
As a Payroll Analyst, you will play a crucial role in the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our organization. You will be responsible for maintaining payroll records, calculating wages, and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations. The role requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of payroll processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and administer bi-weekly or monthly payroll for employees.
Calculate and verify timekeeping information, deductions, and overtime.
Ensure accuracy of payroll data, including bonuses, commissions, and benefits.
Collaborate with HR to ensure proper handling of new hires, terminations, and changes in employment status.
Address payroll-related queries from employees and management.
Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
Generate payroll reports for management review.
Assist in the preparation of payroll-related tax filings.
Work with finance and accounting teams for accurate financial reporting.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Payroll Analyst or in a similar role.
Strong understanding of payroll processes and regulations.
Proficient in using payroll software and MS Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Preferred Skills:
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus.
Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information System) software.
Experience with multi-state payroll.
