The Payroll Administrator is responsible for recording and processing the company’s time and attendance through the payroll systems in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles; verifying that transactions comply with company policy, procedure, and state and government regulations. These duties include maintaining employee data, maintaining vacation/sick leave reports, submitting payroll taxes and benefit and 401k reports, payroll general ledger account reconciliation and analysis. The Payroll Administrator is responsible for ensuring effective, efficient, timely and accurate payments to employees and government agencies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Administers Prevailing Wage from start to finish. This includes but is not limited to: calculating manual counters, performing weekly prevailing wage audits, timecard corrections, administering certified payrolls, administering the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) process, administering active contracts, etc.
Collaborate closely with internal and external customers to manage the prevailing wage process.
Processing of weekly, bi-weekly, off-cycle payrolls from start to finish.
Collect and input payroll data such as hours worked, sales, from time sheets and other records.
Administers internal ticketing system to ensure accurate payroll inquiries are reviewed.
Prepares computer input, enters data into computer files, or computes wages and deductions and posts to payroll records.
Answers employer, manager, and employee payroll related inquiries; providing information while maintaining a high level of customer service and confidentiality.
Responds to all Federal, State, and other agency requests for compliance documentation (wage orders, garnishments, tax levies, etc.).
Prepares and issues paychecks or manual checks as requested.
Process employee per diems.
Ensure the payroll files are in order and meet labor law regulations.

High School or GED or betterExperience

Strong Microsoft Office Suite, Acrobat Adobe, and Labor Compliance Software, UKG Pro, UKG Ready, LCP Tracker, Points North, etc.
Prior HRIS experience required, preferably Ultimate Software (UKG Pro and UKG Ready).
Minimum of two (2) years related experience processing full-cycle payroll is required. A payroll certificate from college or technical school is desired. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Preferred
Certified Payroll Professional (“CPP”) designation is preferred.
Prevailing wage experience is desired.
