A Place to Be Proud.Responsibilities* Performs clerical office coordination and administrative tasks as necessary.* Collects, documents, and reports vital signs such as: blood pressure or mean arterial pressure, heights, and weights. Completes screening questions and documents all items into medical record.* Promotes general patient safety and performs minor specimen testing. Holds, positions patients and assists with procedures. Preps all materials and supplies as needed.* Remains compliant with HIPAA, maintains professionalism and ensures confidentiality of patient information.* Ensures environmental standards are met and all clinic and patient areas are stocked, cleaned, and maintained.* Identifies learning needs and attends continuing education as appropriate. Participates in educational activities offered by the business unit. Acts as a preceptor of orientation and training of other PCA staff.QualificationsEducation: High school graduate or equivalent.Licensure: State Tested Nursing Assistant strongly preferred.Certifications: Current CPR (BLS for healthcare provider required).Skills:1. Sound written and verbal communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.2. Demonstrated basic computer skills.3. Must demonstrate competence as defined in the Patient Care Assistant responsibilities/skills checklist in providing age appropriate care and services to pediatric patients of all ages and selected adult patients.4.
