The Patient Access Specialist purpose is to interview patients or family members to obtain accurate demographic and financial information, explain consents, distribute patient education hand-outs and explain their contents, obtain consent and responsibility signatures and answer any questions the patient or family member may have.

_Minimum Education_ * High school diploma, GED or equivalent required. Associates degree in Administrative Support Technology, Business or Office Technology preferred. * Medical terminology experience recommended. * Proficient in use of software programs. * Excellent customer service and telephone skills are a must.
